Who is Acoustic Sound?

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to making sure good music is a part of your world. Acoustic Sound is committed to preserving and promoting traditional acoustic American music through presentation and education, with special attention given to the bluegrass music community. We also are dedicated to maintaining reasonable prices for our events in order to keep Bluegrass accessible.

The Acoustic Sound Supporter Program

We have created the Acoustic Sound Supporter program for individuals who would like to add their efforts to those of our fine sponsors. Your donations of time, money and energy are tax deductible, when such things are taxable, and we're happy to provide you with the necessary receipts. Your donations mean the difference between red or black ink for us every year.

You may also consider a matching-funds donation from your employer. Many employers match employee donations to their favorite organizations. Some even contribute cash for volunteer hours donated. For Microsoft Employees: Volunteer hours are now subject to matching funds in the new expansion of the Microsoft Matching Funds Program. Beginning with your 11th hour of service, Microsoft will donate $17 for each hour you donate to a qualifying non-profit organization, up to $12,000 per employee per year, including cash donations. Microsoft is but one example. If you are interested in such a possibility please check with your employer and write to us for necessary documentation. We're happy to comply!
